Health and Safety Representative who completed their HSR Level 1 training – BEFORE 1 January 2013 must attend a “bridging training” course to enable them to continue to exercise the full functions of their role.
The South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA) in conjunction with the Motor Trade Association of SA (a registered training organisation) are presenting a series of one day ”bridging training” sessions in South Australian wine regions to enable existing HSR’s to identify changes introduced by the new work health and safety laws.
The South Australian Work Health and Safety Act 2012 came into effect on 1 January 2013 and as a consequence all Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) who completed their Level 1 training under the former South Australian Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act 1986 must complete a one day “bridging training” program to ensure that they continue to perform their duties as HSR’s under the new legislation.
