Dr Ken Page, Adjunct Associate Professor in the CSU School of Environmental Sciences, will present the next seminar in the NWGIC seminar series. Ken’s presentation will offer insights into the long-term environmental processes that have shaped the terroir of the Riverina growing region.
The present landscape of the Riverine Plain was formed during the last glacial cycle by rivers that were very different in character from those of the present. This talk will focus on the evolution of Murrumbidgee channels during the last 100,000 years as shown by a combination of remote sensing imagery, field survey and thermoluminescence dating.
