Have you ever wondered if your vineyard management practices are truly sustainable, and which vineyard system is actually the most beneficial for your bottom line? These questions and many more will be answered at the NSW DPI Sustainability Workshop to be held in Orange on Wednesday 18 May 2016. A must do event for winemakers and grapegrowers.
This workshop will cover three topics. 1. The relative sustainability of organic, biodynamic and conventional viticulture. Chris Penfold – University of Adelaide
2. ENTWINE AUSTRALIA – SUPPORTING A SUSTAINABLE WINE INDUSTRY
The AWRI team will present the new and improved Entwine Australia, the Australian wine industry’s sustainability program – set up to support growers and winemakers in demonstrating and improving the sustainability of their businesses. This will be supported by a suite of case studies which showcase small and large vineyard and winery businesses which have reduced their environmental footprint, improved business efficiency and also achieved financial savings.
3. Ross Hill wines – case study on seeking and becoming the first Australian Government carbon neutral certified winery – Peter Robson
